Who Is Jesus Christ?

This is one of the most important questions you can ever ask because you need Jesus!

God loves you. He desires to have a living relationship with you and give you salvation, purpose and eternal life. It is an important decision that only you can make, but you need to make it!

1. You have a past

Scripture states clearly that everyone in the world is guilty of sin — and that includes you and me. Romans 3:23 says: ‘For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.’

2. Sin has its price

Romans 6:23 tells us: ‘For the wages of sin is death.’ The wages of work is money, but the wages of sin is death. Death means separation from God forever. But there is good news.

3. Christ paid for your sin

Even though we are sinners, Christ loves us so much that He died in our place to pay for our sin. ‘But God demonstrated His own love for us in this while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.’ (Romans 5:8)

4. You must believe

To become a Christian and have assurance of eternal life is a personal decision only you can make. Romans 10:9 says: ‘if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.’ The word ‘believe’ here means to entrust your life completely over to Jesus Christ. That’s what real faith is, asking Jesus Christ to be Lord of your Life.

If you would like to begin a personal relationship with Jesus today, please pray this prayer.

Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You died for me and that Your blood paid for my sins. Please forgive me for my sin. I want You to be my Lord. Thank You for dying for me, forgiving my sin and giving me the gift of eternal life. I wish to turn away from sin and I acknowledge You as my Lord and Saviour. Lead and guide me in Your way, Amen.

You have just made an important and very wise decision. We encourage you to now contact your local Christian church for regular ongoing fellowship and guidance in becoming a disciple. Anytime you would like us to pray for you, either now or in the future, you can always contact us here at UCB Vanuatu.

We’d love you to send us an email to tell us the story behind your decision.

1 John 5:11-12 tells us there are two groups of people. ‘He who has the Son has life’ and ‘He who does not have the Son of God does not have life.’ Because you have prayed and believed in the Son you have life!

How God sees you

‘There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.’ Romans 8:1 NIV Once we understand that God’s love for us is based on what Christ did for us rather than what we do ourselves, the struggle is over. Now we can stop ‘performing’, and we can serve God...

Setting prayer traps

‘Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.’ 2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV When we read the verse, ‘Take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ’ (2 Corinthians 10:5 NIV), we tend to think it’s about capturing sinful thoughts and getting them out...

How long will you live?

‘The days of our lives are seventy years.’ Psalm 90:10 NKJV Do you ever wonder how long you will live? The Bible says, ‘The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labour and sorrow; for it is...

Use your imagination

‘Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.’ Ephesians 3:20 NIV Lack of faith is not a failure of logic; it’s a failure of imagination. Lack of faith is the inability or unwillingness to entertain thoughts of a God ‘who is able to do...

Learn to delegate

‘It is not desirable for us to neglect the Word of God in order to serve tables.’ Acts 6:2 NASB The New Testament church grew so fast that the apostles became overwhelmed with the challenge of administering it. When the Hellenistic [Greek] Jews complained against the...

Put away the measuring stick!

‘Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you love me?”’ John 21:16 NIV Pastor Reimar Schultze says: ‘The more conscientious we are, the more we… go to bed with some sense that we missed the elusive 100% again… Many precious saints fall for this trap… robbing...

Know when to let go

‘To everything there is a season… A time to keep and a time to throw away.’ Ecclesiastes 3:1, 6 NKJV Persistence, determination, commitment, and recognising the ‘right time to throw away’ are all commendable qualities, whether it’s setting aside time to pray and read...

Don’t break, bounce back (2)

‘For a righteous person falls seven times and rises again,’ Proverbs 24:16 NASB Here are two more keys to bouncing back: (1) Instead of complaining about what you can’t change, change what you can. When you can’t change your situation, you can change your attitude...

Don’t break, bounce back (1)

‘Since my youth they have often attacked me, but they have not prevailed against me.’ Psalm 129:2 CSB When resilient people hit bottom, they don’t break, they bounce back. The apostle Paul was such a person: ‘We are afflicted in every way but not crushed; we are...

Consult God on your daily to-do list

‘A person's steps are established by the Lord, and He takes pleasure in his way.’ Psalm 37:23 CSB To come up with a daily to-do list that keeps your peace and joy intact, consult God. When you take on too much, you set yourself up for failure, and stress. If you’re...
